Project Overview
ITDG completed a comprehensive Property Improvement Plan for The Peery Hotel in 2019. The 73-room historic property at 110 W Broadway anchors downtown Salt Lake City—steps from the Salt Palace Convention Center—and is part of Hilton's Tapestry Collection, with architecture dating to 1910 (Early Prairie and Classical Revival).
The PIP encompassed full renovations to guest rooms and common areas: new finishes, flooring, paint, and targeted electrical work to support updated furniture, lighting, and features. Work extended through the hotel lobby and fireplace area, community lobby spaces, event and meeting center (the property offers substantial meeting and event space), fitness center, and guest rooms including king and double-queen accommodations and suites. The goal was to bring the property in line with brand expectations while preserving its historic character and keeping the hotel operational throughout the renovation.

Project Objective
A historic, operating hotel in the heart of downtown required a full PIP across 73 rooms and multiple common areas—lobby, event center, meeting spaces, fitness—without closing the property. Renovations had to respect the building's character while meeting Tapestry Collection standards and minimizing impact on guests and events.
